Airedale Boys Brigade

The Boys Brigade is a group run solely by volunteers and have been nominated for providing brilliant activities in the Airedale community. Their volunteering isn't just about attending each week but also involves planning, training, raising money and being positive role models within the local community.

Boys who take part in this Boys Brigade group can take part in activities or attend trips they would otherwise have limited access to. Through taking part, the boys receive rewards and take on new responsibilities within the group which can improve resilience and raise awareness of some of the positive values in the local community.

This Boys Brigade group provide activities all year and it's funded through weekly subscriptions and fundraising such as sales and sponsored events. Examples of the activities are cooking, crafts, drama, discussions and trips out to the local area to learn about history of places such as Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve.
